Mandi (Baths):

Mandi Susu: The legendary fame of Queen Cleopetra’s beauty, in particular her smooth skin, has often been attributed to her fondness for immersing herself in moisturising goat’s milk. In Indonesia, Javanese princesses were also known to indulge in milk baths, especially goat’s, sheep’s or cow’s milk. A mandi susu, literally translated as milk bath, is one of the treatments offered for softer, smoother skin. Modern science has revealed the secret behind this; the lactic acid in milk naturally dissolves the ‘glue’ that holds dead skin cells together. So, in effect, a mandi susu removes dead skin to reveal new skin below. Treat yourself to Maya Ubud Resort and Spa’s mandi susu in the comfort of your home with the following instructions. The best time for a soak is before a meal.
Mandi Susu: Fill the bath with 5 tsp of yogurt-based milk for every 100 litres of warm water. Soak for about 20 minutes then rinse with cool or warm water.

Floral Bath: Not quite regarded as a treatment on its own, a floral bath is often the finishing touch to body massages, wraps and other treatments. A long soak amid fragrant blooms brings about a sense of tranquility, allowing the spa experience to end on a relaxing note. At the Maya Ubud Resort and Spa, a floral bath also includes the use of floral bath salts.

Floral Bath: Fill the bath with hot water and dissolve 25 ml / 5 tsp of aromatherapy bath salts for every 100ml / 1/2 cup of water. For a refreshing bath, try orange rosehips or bergamot lime bath salts. Add your favourite fresh flowers and soak yourself in the bath for 10 to 15 minutes. Then rinse with cool or warm water.
