Make Up To Hide Puffy Eyes

How To Prevent Puffy Eyes:

  • Do not drink too much fluid before going to bed.
  • Sleep with the head raised a little higher that the body.
  • Remove make-up residue before sleeping as it causes the pores to swell.
  • Do not use wrinkle cream near the eyes as it causes too much hydration and that leads to puffy eyes.
  • Do not have too much salt, it swells the eyes.
  • Gel based or water based make-up is better suited for the eyes. Oil based make-up can cause the skin under the eyes to swell and it becomes inflamed.
  • If any one is prone to allergies, then don’t use things which might cause it like sleeping on feathered pillows might cause allergies and the eyes start to swell.
  • Beware of bacteria. Do not use mascara or any other eye product that is many months old. When make-up gets old, then bacteria attacks it, and will cause your eyelids to swell. It is probably a good idea not to share your eye products with anyone else either.
  • Sleep on your back so that gravity does not allow the fluid to get directly to your eyes.
  • If you are prone to puffy eyes, the best is when you wake up in the mornings, rinse your face in cold water to constrict blood vessels and prevent swelling.
