Tips To Apply Blusher:
- Do not overdo it with blusher or apply extra as your face will look like a mask.
- Do not try to apply blusher on the nose as a corrective measure.
- Use a powder blusher if your skin is oily, it will last longer.
- A colour which is close to your lipstick colour, maybe light or dark, will suit you best.
- Never mix blusher with other make up creams.
- Use dusty rose on dark skin and apricot shades on lighter skin tone.
- Dip the brush into blusher lightly and flick your wrist to get the correct strokes on your cheek.
- Apply shimmery blusher on the cheekbones near to the eye to create a good effect.
- Don’t use a sponge to apply blusher. Use a big brush always to blend.
- Cream blush should be blotted using a tissue paper. Translucent powder can dilute powder blusher. Cream blusher can also be used on lips.
- Gels and liquid are best to get rosy cheeks but wash hands before applying them.
- Clean blush brush after every use as they contain bacteria and can cause skin rash.
There are number of shades from where to choose the blusher colour. It is most important to see your skin tone and also keep in mind the occasion and the over all make up before applying blusher. For special occasions, a dark blusher if blended well will suit you. For casual occasions, use a light blusher.
