How To Make Your Own Lip Gloss:
You can make your own lip gloss by using this recipe. All you need is:
Ingredients Required:
Paraffin wax; Petroleum jelly; Coconut oil; Wax paper; Candy melts to make it sweet and give the gloss colour; Oil-based candy to give it a flavour; Grater; Ziploc bag; A small container.
Instructions:
1. Grate some paraffin wax onto wax paper. Take 1/4 teaspoon of grated wax and put it into a plastic bag. Now add 1 teaspoon coconut oil, 1 teaspoon petroleum jelly, and 1 candy melt. Add 1/8 teaspoon oil-based candy flavoring if you choose to.
2. Now close the bag and insert it fully into a bowl of hot tap water so that the ingredients will melt, keep it for few minutes. See that the packet is sealed completely to avoid leakage. Do not use a microwave or stove to heat the water.
3. Once you have seen that all the ingredients have melted, remove the bag from the water. Mix the ingredients around in the bag to mix quickly. Cut off a piece from the bag to empty the content, that is the gloss into a small clean container. Leave it and allow it to set for an hour or so, and if you want it to set faster, put it into the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
4. Now your gloss is ready to use. Instead of your finger, use a cotton swab to apply the gloss to your lips. Your lip-gloss should last a long time. If it changes color, odor, or texture, that means it is spoilt and should not be used so throw it away and make another fresh lot.

How To Choose A Lip Gloss:

Remember to choose a lip gloss, it can either be a cool or warm shade that goes well with your skin tone. On fair complexion, gold and red goes well and on darker or dusky complexion, pink and raspberries go well. To test the colour of the gloss that will suit you, apply a pink and coral lipstick. Go for the cooler tones if your skin tone resembles pink, and if your skin tone matches with coral, that means warmer tones will suit you.
