How To Apply Lip Gloss:
The most effective way of applying a gloss is to use it over a lip conditioner. Glosses can have a drying effect on the lips, it is a good idea to moisturize your lips before applying it. It will require continuous touching up though. For a longer lasting effect, use a deeper tone lipstick as this will give the gloss a solid base colour to adhere to. Apply a light gloss on the centre of the lips for a pouty effect. For long lasting effect of the gloss, the lips have to be prepared thoroughly before you apply it.
How To Buy Lip Gloss:
– Ask before you end up buying a lip gloss or any other cosmetic as skin is very sensitive and the wrong cosmetic may give you allergies. Ask the sales person’s about the prices, latest brands and its benefits. Sometimes cheaper brands may be of inferior quality but at the same time, cheap names at times can outperform the branded names.
– Check the colour of the gloss just as you check the lipstick shade against your skin.
– Lip glosses come in tubes and pots. Choose the one where you can apply with a brush as it is most convenient and spreads well and evenly.
– Some lip glosses have water resistency. Ask for one such gloss if you require it.
Caution: Be careful about the kind of gloss that you buy. It might peel and get lumpy. Either they might have expired or are not capable to retain its moisture or they are alcohol based and cause drying and peeling of the lips. To be on the safer side, throw out your lip gloss after three to four months.
