Herbal Eye Care:

1. Herbal Skin Cleansers:

1. Eye Care Cream (Eye Cream For Dark Circles Under The Eyes):
Preparation: 1 tablespoon lanolin; 1 1/2 tablespoons almond oil; 1 teaspoon soyabean flour; 2 teaspoons cold water;
Application: Melt lanolin on medium heat. Add almond oil to it. Remove the ensuing thick paste from heat. Add soyabean powder and cold water to it and stir for 10 minutes. Do not mix fragrance while preparing the eye cream. It might affect the eyes. Using eye cream is useful if there are circles or dark spots beneath the eyes.

Herbal Hand Care:

1. Herbal Hand Cleanser (Grimy Hands Soap Substitute):
Composition: 1cup (250ml) cornmeal or oatmeal finely ground; 2 cups (500ml) white kaolin clay, finely powdered; 1/4 cup (60ml) almonds finely ground (leave just a bit of grittiness); 1/8 cup (30ml) dried lavender blossoms, finely powdered; 1/8 cup (30ml) dried rose petals, finely powdered; Little drops of the essential oil of your choice (optional); A pinch powdered vitamin C (optional);Liquid contents of a 400 IU vitamin E capsule (optional);
Preparation: Stir all ingredients together in a bowl and pour into a large jar. Store jar in a dry, cool location. Application: 1. Mix 1 or 2 teaspoons (5-10ml) of the cleansing grains with water. 2. Stir into a paste by rubbing your hands in a circular motion. Then work the grains up each individual finger and over the back of the hand. 3. Rinse with cool or lukewarm water. Pat dry. Caution: This recipe may irritate, cut or bother skin.

2. Hands Smooth Lotion:
Composition: 1 tablespoon (15ml) glycerin; 1 tablespoon (15ml) rose water; 1 tablespoon (15ml) Maddar extract; 3 tablespoons (45ml) honey;
Preparation: Blend all the ingredients in a bottle and shake well. Store in the refrigerator.
Application: Pour a small amount into the palm of your hands and gently massage onto your hands and fingers.

Herbal Nail Care:

1. Nail Care (Pineapple -Yoghurt Nailsoak):
Composition: 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) apple cider vinegar; 1 tablespoon (5ml) olive oil; 2 tablespoons (30ml) pineapple juice, fresh or canned; 2 tablespoons (30ml) plain organic yoghurt, regular or nonfat;
Preparation: Measure each ingredient and add to a bowl. Whip mixture with a fork until it becomes blended and creamy.
Application: Dip fingers in the bowl and relax, allowing each hand to sit in the mixture for 5 minutes. Massage both hands and fingers with the pineapple-yoghurt mixture. Leave on skin for a few minutes. Then rinse in warm water and pat dry. Use a fresh batch each time you do a manicure.

Herbal Feet Care:

1. Feet Care Oil (Relaxing Foot Massage Oil)
After washing and exercising your feet, use this fabulous aromatherapy herbal oil to further enhance your relaxed mood and soften any rough skin as well.
Composition: 2 teaspoons (10ml) soybean, jojoba, extra-virgin olive, or almond oil; 2-6 drops of (depending on desired strength) lavender, German chamomile, orange, or clay sage essential oil;
Yield: 1 treatment.
Preparation: Mix all ingredients thoroughly in a small bowl.
Application: Massage onto your feet using a firm, strong hand. Apply pressure as needed to alleviate fatigue and tension in your feet. Put on socks afterwards.

2. Lavender Velvet Foot Cream:
Composition: 1/2 cup 9120ml) all-vegetable shortening; 1 teaspoon (5ml) beeswax; 3 tablespoons (45ml) distilled water, rosewater, German chamomile tea, or lavender tea; 1 teaspoon (5ml) borax; 15 drops lavender essential oil; 15 drops rose or geranium essential oil; 15 drops spearmint essential oil (optional, but adds a nice, mild mint note);
Yield: Approximately 3/4 cup (180ml).
Preparation: In a small saucepan, heat the shortening and beeswax over low heat until just melted. Remove saucepan from heat. In another small saucepan, warm the distilled water, rosewater, or tea and dissolve the borax in it; then remove saucepan from heat. (To make a herb tea to use as liquid, simply pour 1 cup (230ml) boiling water over 1 teaspoon (5ml) of dried herb, steam 5 to 10 minutes, then strain. When both mixtures have cooled to approximately the same temperature, set the wax/shortening pan into a bowl of ice cubes and add the essential oils. Drizzle the liquid into it, stirring rapidly with a small whisk or spoon. The cream should set up fairly quickly and looks and feels like fluffy cake icing.
Application: Slather it thickly onto clean feet, put on socks, and go to bed. Awaken to feet of velvet. This product can be used wherever you have dry skin: hands, elbows, knees, or even as a cuticle conditioner. It sinks in amazingly fast, is non-greasy if you don’t use too much, and makes your skin super soft.
Storage: Store in an attractive container away from heat or light. No need to refrigerate unless weather is hot. Will last approximately one year if you do choose to chill it or up to three to four months at room temperature.
