Conceal Tired Eyes With Expertise

2. Eyes:

Eyes are the mirror of your whole self. It reflects your health. Your eyes are a dead give away. They are the first to show up signs of tiredness and sleep deprivation. So what do you do if you have to go for a very important dinner or special date?

  • Use a good concealer for under-eye dark circles.
  • Apply the concealer in a semi-circular manner, using your ring finger to blend it gently. Go to the inside corner of your eyes and blend it into your skin by tapping lightly. This technique makes the concealer blend easily with the skin tone and creates a more natural look.
  • Dust the area lightly with a loose powder applied with a good blusher brush. Make sure it does not settle into the fine lines of the eyes.
  • Use pretty eye-shadow colours such as corals, pinks or sandy browns to light them up and make them sparkle.
  • Always use frosted shadows as these add lustre to the eyes.
  • Curl your lashes with a lash curler to open up your eyes and make them look bigger. Sleep-deprived eyes often look half-closed.
  • Applying white eye pencil in the insides of the eyes also works as it makes the eyes look bigger.
  • Use a lengthening mascara and not a volumising one, which means it adds length to the eyelashes and not volume. A lengthening mascara will open the eyes but a volumising one may make the eyes look droopy.
  • Eyeliner should always be applied in an up-slant.
  • If you are in a particularly bad shape, apply a glitter eyeliner or a shiny one. It is a perfect formula to get that bright sparkle in the eyes. You will not go wrong with this one.
  • Using coloured contact lenses is another alternative, it works for all.

How To Conceal Tired Eyes With Expertise:

  • If you try this trick, you will need less concealer. After you apply an eye cream on the face, apply foundation all over the face, right up to the lash area.
  • If you find that the circles under the eye had become deeper, a great concealer is a pot or a stick.
  • If possible, buy two shades of concealer. Use the lighter shade to apply on the spots where the circles are more noticeable, and then apply the darker shade in other areas of the face.
  • While you are applying concealer, apply it with a soft brush. Avoid using fingers to apply as it will melt and not give your face the perfect effect that you want.
  • You can also perk up a tired face by wearing jewellery. Wear colourful belts, shoes and scarves.
  • When you are applying concealer under your eyes, look straight into the mirror. If you look upwards, then you will tend to apply more concealer than needed.
  • Mix a little bit of eye shadow at the corners of your eyes to give it that perked-up looked.
  • Most dark circles look purple or violet in colour, that is if the condition is extreme. Use opposite colours like peach, orange or yellow to perk up that look.
  • Shaping of the eyebrows may help some people to look fresher than before. So do that and see if it makes a difference.
  • A facial mask can perform wonders on dry, oily, flaky, or just plain tired skin. There are dozens of products available, ready to use, to give yourself a spa treatment facial at home.
