Prevent Dropping Out Of Your Exercise Regimen

Handle The Details: Don’t let the little details come as a road block in your exercise routine. Before you start off , getting shoes, choosing a walking route, getting enrolled into a class or buying a piece of equipment, do it.

Break It Down To Small Steps:
Break a big exercise goal into small steps so that you can pay constant attention and done get side tracked. Lets take the marathon again. If it is February and the marathon is fixed for August, that is a good frame of time to spend on preparing yourself for it. Start by planning to run 3 km and work up gradually to the distance you need.

If You Slip Up, Aim At Your Goal Again:
Forgive yourself and make a plan for getting back on track. Do not give up so easily. View the slip up as lessons you have learnt and reminders of why you are wanting to make a healthy change. When you make a mistake and mess up, its an opportunity to learn something new about yourself, make amends and improve on it.

A Stick To It Attitude Helps:
Just imagine yourself getting to your goal. A toned up new you in a new outfit. Self-visualization helps you to keep what you are trying to accomplish in mind. When you are feeling low and demotivated, it fires you up.

The Spice Of Exercise Is Variety:
Whether it is of recent that you have started a fitness programme, or you have been exercising for some time, if you add variety, it will help you to keep being interested and you will not want to quit or drop it. Divide the workout into different exercises such as swimming, playing tennis, doing yoga and weight training. This will keep you charged and help you get the maximum health benefit from your regimen. If the thought of going back to boring exercise workouts makes you want to curl up and die and you are getting bored, do something totally different. Sign up for a local belly dancing class or check out that new yoga studio you drive by every day. A change of scenery and a brand new activity can refresh and rejuvenate you.

Reward Yourself:
After setting and meeting your daily goals, plan a little something nice for yourself. Having something to look forward to always makes it easier to do the hard things. Take a few minutes to listen to your favorite song, sip a hot cup of tea, take a bath or get busy in the garage.

Share It With A Friend:
Do you have supportive people around you. Find a buddy who will exercise with you so that you can support each other. When you don’t feel motivated, it can make a big difference, like getting up for that early morning run. Don’t give up.
