3.A Seven-Day Detox Diet Plan
A 7 day detox diet plan will clean out your body from all stored toxins gently. Tt plan will decongest your intestinal tract and cleanse your colon, so you will stop feeling bloated. The fast loss of waste in your body will make you feel lighter than before.
Day One: Juices
Make fresh fruit and vegetable juices just before consuming. For breakfast, lunch and dinner. Freshly made juices have most of the vitamins and nutrients necessary for the body. You can make the following juices
– 1 grapefruit, 1 orange and 2 tbsp of lemon juice
– 7 tbsp (100 ml) beet and celery juice + 1 tbsp apple vinegar
– 20 tbsp (300 ml) cucumber juice, 7 tbsp (100 ml) tomato juice and 1 tbsp chopped up parsley
– 14 tbsp (200 ml) carrot juice and 7 tbsp (100 ml) apple juice
– Juice of 2 apples and 1 1/4 cups of cranberries
– Juice of 1 wedge watermelon and 1/2 lb. red grapes
– Drink about 3.2 pints (1.5 litres) of juices. You can drink mineral water and tea as much as you like, but with no sugar.
Day Two – Potatoes:
Boil 1.65 pounds (750 g) of potatoes and divide them into 2-3 portions.
For Breakfast: 1 slice of bread and 3.5 ounces (100 g) of cheese.
For Lunch: Have one portion with 1 boiled egg.
For Dinner: Have the remaining portion with 4 tbsp hot milk and chopped up dill or parsley.
Here are a few ideas for cooking the potatoes:
– Potato salad with onion or leeks, with lemon juice dressing
– Mashed potatoes mixed with 4 tbsp hot milk
– Potato soup garnished with green spices and nutmeg, and 1 boiled egg.
Day Three – Rice:
Boil 7 ounces (200 g) rice for about 25-30 minutes in non-salted water. Strain off the rice and divide it into 5 portions. Eat 1 portion every 2 hours. If you wish you can stir up the rice with some fruit or tomato juice or fat-free vegetable soup or stir fried vegetables. Drink at least 5.5 pints (2.5 litres) of mineral water, tea, coffee with no sugar.
Day Four – Fruits:
For Breakfast: 1 slice of bread or 2 dietetic rusks, 3.5 ounces (100 g) of cheese, 1 apple or pear.
For the rest of the day eat only fruits about 2.5 – 3.5 pounds (1 – 1.5 kg). You can make a fruit salad and garnish it with lemon juice. You can eat all kinds of fruits except for bananas.
Drink at least 4.5 pints (2 litres) of mineral water, tea, coffee with no sugar.
Day Five – Macaroni:
Boil 5.3 ounces (150 g) macaroni for about 10 minutes in salted water. Strain off the macaroni and divide them into 3-4 portions.
For Breakfast: 1 slice of bread, 1 tsp of butter, 1 boiled egg.
For the rest of the day eat only the macaroni.
Here are some ideas on how to vary the macaroni portions:
– Mix the macaroni with 2 tbsp of parsley or dill and 1 ounce (30 g) grated cheese
– Mix the macaroni with 1.05 pints (500ml) ready-cooked vegetable soup and 1 tsp chopped onion
– Mix the macaroni with 1 chopped up tomato, 2 tbsp boiled peas, 1 tbsp apple vinegar and 1 tsp of parsley
– You can drink 4.5 pints (2 litres) of mineral water, tea, coffee with no sugar.
Day Six – Vegetables:
For Breakfast: 1 slice of bread or 2 dietetic rusks, 1 tsp of butter, 1 boiled egg.
For the rest of the day eat about 2 pounds (1 kg) of vegetables – half fresh and the other half stewed.
Here are some ideas on how to cook the vegetables:
– Stew 8.5 ounces (250g) cauliflower and 8.5 ounces (250 g) cabbage
– Prepare all kinds of mixed salads with the fresh vegetables with lemon dressing or apple vinegar
– Eat 1 boiled egg or 1.7 ounces (50 g) cheese with one of the portions
– You can drink 4.5 – 5.5 pints (2 – 2.5 litres) of mineral water, tea, coffee with no sugar.
Day Seven – Meat:
For Breakfast: 1 slice of bread, 1 tsp of butter, 1 oz (30 g) cheese, 1 tomato, a few slices of onion.
For Lunch: 3.5 ounces (100 g) roasted veal, 4.5 ounces (120 g) boiled potatoes mixed with 1 tbsp vegetable oil and 2 tbsp of parsley.
For Dinner: 3.5 ounces (100 g) green salad, 3 tomatoes, 1 small onion, 3.5 ounces (100 g) boiled vegetable marrows, 3.5 ounces (100 g) boiled or roasted fish, 1 slice of rye or wholemeal bread.
You can drink about 4.5 pints (2 litres) of mineral water or tea with no sugar.
