Here are a few of the latest beauty treatments and procedures available to women today.
1.Amelan Peel:
Whom Is It For? The Amelan Peel is ideal for women who have melanin- based dark patches or blemishes of melanin origin, and hyper-pigmentation due to pregnancy or menopause. Before this treatment, these patches could only be lightened with creams or medication and the result would differ from person to person, though lighter-skinned women had more options to get rid of these patches as they have less melanin. This treatment however, is ideal for skin types that have more menlanin.
Procedure: The treatment starts with a degreasing of the skin. Then the peel is applied and the patient is sent home. It can be washed off after five to six hours depending on the type of skin and severity of the problem. The procedure is painless and takes only 10 minutes. However, the patient must come back for follow-up check-ups after eight, 15 or 30 days, after which the treatment is complete. The patient then has to apply the melanin-suppressing cream on a daily basis.
Side Effects: Both the peel and the after-care kit contain natural ingredients and therefore this treatment has minimal side effects. Unlike other creams that maybe used in the treatment of dark patches, it does not contain Hydroquinone or TCA, which could be unsafe in the long run.
Results: Complete disappearance of dark patches. This treatment can be done at any time of the year. The patient can apply make-up on the first day itself. After three to four days, the skin begins to show a healthy glow.
2.Mesotherapy – ‘Fat Burner’:
Whom Is It For? Women who are unable to undergo liposuction or women who wish to have post-liposuction irregularities corrected. It can also be used in cases of localized fat, on the double chin, umbilicus and ‘love handles’. This therapy is called Mesotherapy as it concentrates on the layer of fat and not the external or internal layer of skin.
Procedure: The procedure includes tiny injections of natural plant extract material (eg artichoke cts, organic silicum, rutin biotin, etc). The injections are administered at a distance of one centimeter each after the fatty area has been marked off. The needle used is a 32 gauge and four millimeters long so that it doesn’t go deeper than the fatty layer. These natural substances then break down the fat cells for easy elimination.
Side-Effects: There may be some bruises due to the injections. Otherwise minimal side effects.
Results: The results are an increase in firmness of the skin and disappearance of ‘orange peel’.
