Over – Plucked Eyebrows

How To Camouflage Over Plucked Eyebrows With Makeup:

If you have over plucked your eyebrows, make -up can compensate for it. Fill in the area with a pencil choosing a colour slightly lighter than your hair. the colour should not be too dark as it will look artificial. After you have pencilled your eyebrows, fill it in with brown eye shadow. If your brows are sparse or spotty, you can fill them in by pressing a brown shadow into your brow. If you are using a pencil to fill in sparse brows, apply with short, feathered strokes from the inside of the brow out. Then carefully rub brows with a brush or your fingertips to soften the effect.

Tips – The Do’s And Don’t:
The Do’s:

  1. To get a tight grip over the tweezers, clean the edges and tips with alcohol to remove any oil build up.
  2. You can stimulate your eyebrow hair growth by massaging it with a toothbrush.
  3. Gel keeps the hair in place. If you don’t have hair gel, then take some hair spray on your fingers and rub it into the eyebrows, it keeps the brow hairs from going haywire.
  4. The best time to shape or do your eyebrows is one week after your periods begin, this is the time when your body is least sensitive to hair removal.
  5. For a perfect finish, trim your eyebrows. First comb your brows upwards, the extra hairs will stick out. Take a pair of scissors, and snip away at the extra hairs that reach the thickest part of the eyebrows. Then again comb downwards, snip off the extra that reach below the part of the eyebrow. finally brush upwards.
  6. Before you start tweezing, you can remove the dirt and oil that is on the skin, it will make plucking more easier. You can use a warm flannel cloth to wipe the face as it will open the pores, loosening the hair roots. Even having a hot shower prior to plucking makes it easier and painless. Using an ice pack will help to numb the pain.
  7. Stand by the mirror after you remove few hairs to access the results, every now and then.
  8. An eye brow shaper is a great tool. It can be purchased at any drug store.
  9. While plucking if you find redness, use a little tea tree oil or aloe Vera, it will soothe the skin.
  10. Use cream skin bleach to remove unwanted hair which is difficult for you to pluck.
  11. While plucking, keep your facial structure in mind, that makes a big impact on the whole face.
  12. Keep the tweezers to the skin as close as possible so that there wont be any hair break and the skin will not pull.

The Don’t:

  1. Do not use a rusted tweezers, so if that happens, throw it away and buy another.
  2. Do not pluck one eyebrow completely then go to another. First remove some hair from one eyebrow then go to the other and do the same, continue till both are completed.
  3. Do not over pluck the hairs.
  4. Never pull the hair straight with the tweezers.
  5. Do not pluck the same hair over and over again as it might destroy the hair follicle and the hair will not grow back again.
  6. Using bleaching products meant for the head hair can be dangerous to use so close to your eyes. Ask your pharmacist for a safe product which wont harm the eyes.
