Makeup Per Skin Tone

Make Up According To Skin Tone:

1. Pale skin: For young, fresh and oily skin, it’s a great idea to always carry a small roll of blotting paper in your handbag for the time when you realize that you are to go to a party and just have fifteen minutes in hand. As the day has gone by, you have also developed a not-so-pretty sheen to your skin. For youthful skin and to remove the shine, blotting paper is a much better option than powder, as it won’t clog your pores and won’t give you that older, heavy, matte look, instead keeping your skin appearing young and fresh.
2. Mature skin: To achieve a soft and young look, pump up the most attractive factor and you can do that by applying some falsies on your lashes. This will highlight your eyes even further and add just enough punch to take your makeup from day to night. Make sure you keep re checking your make up and apply blush after a few hours as blush is easily absorbed by the skin and fades throughout the evening. The bronze look is absolutely necessary to this look so it’s won’t go astray or look incomplete.
3. Dusky skin: Eye pencil fades when applied after some time has passed and even while blinking. So make sure you carry your eye pencil with you wherever you go and re apply when necessary. Use a brow brush to groom the eyebrows and use hair spray before you leave the house.

Decide if you have got cool or warm undertones. If you see blue or pink tones in your skin, you’re most likely cool and if you see yellow or peach tones, you’re probably a warm. Once you identify the colour you are, warm or cool, you can then pick colours according to the codes of the cosmetic lines. If you follow this rule, you are most likely to pick the right colours which will make you look better. If you are wrong with the colour coding, then you will not achieve the result you want. It takes constant maintenance to stay looking perfect throughout a long period of time. So carry with you at all times a hand mirror, lip gloss, toothpicks, eye drops and blotting paper.

Tips:

  • Apply the darkest colour of eye shadow you own in your kit along the lash line. Select a complementing shade in a lighter color to cover the eyelid, then blend with your finger towards the brow.
  • Though most Asian women tend to use black eyeliner, as black is a standard colour, why not add dramatize the eyes by using liners in plum, chocolate brown and bronze. Apply a thick line along your top lashes and then smudge it a little bit to blend.
  • Curl your eyelashes and apply two coats of deep black mascara.
  • For aging skin, stay away from drab colours, which will make you look washed out. Use shades like purple or reddish tones to give colour to your face.
