Anti-Cellulite Diet

To cleanse your body you need to follow a healthy low-fat, high-fibre diet – one that contains plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. The great news is, if you have any excess weight to lose it will naturally fall away by following these rules.

— Eat at least five servings of fresh fruit and vegetables every day. The following fruits and vegetables help combat cellulite best: Blueberries and Blackberries, Cherries, Mangos, Oranges, Strawberries and Raspberries, Cranberries, Grapefruit, Apples, Spinach, Tomatoes, Fennel, Bell peppers, Carrots. Well-cooked pulse such as lentils, yellow pulse beans and red kidney beans are good sources of fibre. Broccoli, peas and lima beans, which supposedly help fight inflammation of the connective tissue. Add onions into your meal – onion is great to get rid of cellulite. It helps release water build-up from skin cells. Make sure to consume nutrients in Vitamin B, C and E, essential fatty acids, glucosamine, calcium, iodine, fibre and potassium – e.g. avocados, oily fish, bananas, bran and oat cereals, pears, asparagus, broccoli and such are all good sources of foods to treat cellulite.
— Cut down on the amount of fat you eat. For instance, grill rather than fry foods, and cut off visible fat from meat. For many foods you buy, look out for a low-fat alternative. Water cleanses your system and flushes toxins from your body cells, so drink at least 2 litres of pure water every day.

— Change from caffeine-laden tea and coffee to herbal teas and decaffeinated coffee. Sip pure fruit juices rather than frizzy drinks.
— Steer clear of alcohol as much as possible as it adversely affects your liver – your body’s main de-toxifier.
— Drink a glass of hot water containing the juice of a fresh lemon when you get up in the morning – it’s a wonderful way to detoxify your body.
— Avoid eating sugary snacks between meals – eat a piece of fruit, raw vegetables or rice cakes instead.
— Some foods may make cellulite appear worse. None of us want that so it’s best you limit your intake of these foods or avoid them altogether. The worst offenders include alcohol (which dehydrates your body), refined foods (including foods high in artificial additives and sweeteners), soda, and eating a diet overly high in animal protein. Also avoid high salt foods like peanuts, crisps, ready meals, canned soups, butter, margarine and hydrogenated vegetable oils (found in many packaged snacks and ready meals), Red meat and pork, processed, high-fat cheeses.
— Avoid unnecessary medication like diet pills, sleeping pills, laxatives and diuretic pills.
